Privacy matters because shared moments only work when people trust the experience.

Stelli is designed to help people create and participate in live shared Moments. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices you have.

By using Stelli, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy.

Content You Share

Stelli is built around content shared by its community. Depending on how you use the app, you may create or upload audio recordings, photos, profile images, event images, and other content you choose to contribute to a Moment.

You retain ownership of the content you create. Our use of that content is described in our Terms of Service.

Device and Technical Information

To help operate and improve Stelli, we may collect device identifiers, push notification tokens, app version, device type, crash reports, diagnostic information, and app usage information.

Permissions We Request

Stelli only requests permissions when they are needed for features you choose to use.

Microphone

Used to record audio during Moments.

Camera

Used to scan QR codes for joining or sharing Moments.

Photos

Used when you choose to upload profile photos, Moment images, or other pictures. When available, Stelli uses Apple’s photo picker so you can select specific photos without granting access to your entire photo library.

Location

Used when you choose location-based features, such as adding a location to a Moment or viewing eligible Moments in Discover. When discovery is enabled, Stelli uses your location while you are using the app to determine whether a Moment is within the Host’s selected radius. Stelli does not use background location for this feature.

Notifications

Used to notify you about invitations, updates to Moments you are participating in, activity from Hosts you follow, and important account or service notifications. You can change these permissions at any time through your device settings.

How We Use Information

We use information to create and manage your account; authenticate users; let you host and join Moments; store and synchronize the content you choose to share; deliver notifications; improve Stelli’s performance and reliability; detect bugs and troubleshoot issues; help protect the security of our users and services; and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

How Information Is Shared

Because Stelli is designed around shared experiences, some information is visible to other people using the service. Depending on how a Moment works, other participants may be able to see your display name, profile photo, participation in a Moment, content you choose to contribute, and basic information about the Moment itself.

We do not share your personal information with advertisers. We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate Stelli, as described below.

Service Providers

We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate Stelli. These providers help us with user authentication, cloud data storage, file storage, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, and security. These providers process information on our behalf in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable law.

Analytics and Diagnostics

We use analytics and diagnostic tools to better understand how Stelli is used and to improve the service. This information may include app interactions, device information, crash reports, and performance information. Where practical, we use this information to improve Stelli rather than to identify individual users.

Data Retention

We keep information only as long as it is reasonably necessary to operate Stelli, provide the services you request, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the security and integrity of the service. Different types of information may be retained for different periods. Backup copies may remain for a limited time after information is deleted.

Your Choices

You can update your profile information, control notification settings, remove content where supported by the product, and delete your account. Deleting your account may permanently remove your profile, uploaded content, participation history, and other information associated with your account, subject to limited legal or operational retention.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information under applicable privacy laws. These rights may include the ability to request access to the personal information we maintain about you, request that inaccurate information be corrected, request deletion of your personal information subject to certain legal or operational exceptions, and request additional information about how your information is collected, used, or shared.

Children’s Privacy

Stelli is not intended for children under 13 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

International Users

Stelli is operated from the United States. If you access Stelli from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Privacy and data protection laws in those countries may differ from those in your country of residence.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to help protect your information. However, no method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Stelli evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the Last Updated date and may provide additional notice within the app.
